Adam Taylor
Adam Taylor became lead guitarist for Katie and the RED HOTS in May 2022, filling the spot held for many years by Kevin Boerner. Adam hails from a hard rock background, but is influenced by guitarists from multiple genres.
His influences range from the likes of George Harrison and Eric Clapton, to dirty rockers like Angus Young, Steve “Steamin” Clark, Vivian Campbell, and Gary Richrath.
Adam has played in many notable regional cover bands, including Rock This Way, King Darwin, Codename Eric and Mad Gathering. He is also co-founder of the February Star band, which stayed just as busy with an energetic, acoustic duo show.
With a solid ear and a constant embrace of challenge, he has provided emergency fill-in work for many big name bands in Ohio over the past two decades.
Upon joining Katie and the RED HOTS, Adam was immediately struck by the tremendous musicianship of the band. He has immense respect for the abilities of his fellow RED HOTS and says he feels right at home.
“These guys make it so easy and fun,” he said.
Adam has been playing guitar for over 30 years and has been performing on stage for much of that time.
